Each year since 1997 Christ the King Parish sends 90 –95 missionaries to Trujillo Honduras to bring hope and love to the poorest of the poor. This year’s theme is “Missionaries of Jesus Christ”. Although sharing our faith is the mission's primary focus, the scope of the mission is far-reaching:

Medical Outreach - includes 3 medical clinics located in outlying villages, plus eye, dental, and hospital clinics. The surgical team performs life-changing surgeries on children with deformities at the Trujillo hospital. Our hearing team screens school children for hearing loss and provides hearing aides.

Education - the mission supports 10 schools, provides teacher workshops, and has initiated vocational programs in sewing, woodworking and computer technology. Hygiene and other topics to improve their quality of life are taught to patients at the clinic sites. First Aide courses are taught to women in villages without access to medical care. Educational offerings are presented to the hospital nurses in Trujillo.

Construction – this team has built and remodeled schools and churches, modernized the hospital, improved sanitation, and created permanent changes in the lives of the people we serve. Our current focus is the restoration of the schools we serve.
